Our Review
We dropped by the Ocean Key, but the General Manager was unable to speak with us. He was very apologetic, and it was clear he had other things to that needed to be attended to that day.

The Ocean Key resort is a great place to have dinner on their pier and watch the sun set (this is a big thing in Key West). The grounds were spacious and well tended, and parking is protected. Be aware that this resort does not have a small beach, it has no beach.

Many of the excursions and water activities depart from these docks, so you cannot get a wider selection and better service elsewhere.

Customer Review
We live several hours from Key West and love to make weekend trips to the Ocean Key - the staff is always friendly and the rooms are just gorgeous. Everyone in town knows where Zero Duval is, so getting food deliveries or services (such as Key West massage, great by the way) is easy. And now that they're putting in a spa, it should be even better, albeit a little more pricey. Highly recommended by someone who has been there 5+ times.

Customer Review
The view was excellent, but...the toilet was running all the time and the service was very poor. Our Christmas dinner experience was awful. They mishandled our reservations so we had to go back to our room to wait- there was no room at the bar. When we came back, they sat us in wet seats out in the cold terrace. There were seats inside. To top it all, the food wasn't that great. We had chosen to change hotels thinking it would be a pampering experience. However, we should have remained at the nice B&B where we had been staying. There is a veneer of polish to this hotel, but nothing more.

Customer Review
We booked this "5 star" hotel to have a pleasant Christmas experience. Half the hotel was closed for renovation. Service was nonexistent. They overbooked the dining room for Christmas dinner, we waited an hour for our reserved table, then they sat us on the outside balcony on wet cushions. When I asked to speak to the hotel manager the next day I was told he was on vacation. We had a leaking toilet in our room, and when I told housekeeping I was told to call the front desk and report it. I was totally disgusted and would never stay there again.

Customer Review
I have stayed all over Key West and this is by far the BEST place in town. No other hotel puts you right near all the best of KW. Mallory square, the wharf, Duval Street, shopping. This location can not be beat!!!!

Customer Review
Nice hotel, not one of the top 500 as they advertise. Rooms were nice until further inspection showed poor workmanship. Services was slow to nonexistent including the $15 a day parking and valet. View was minimal from our room, pool to warm to enjoy. Location is great for downtown and night life.

Customer Review
A vacation is only as good as the hotel that you stay in. The ocean key was magnificent from location to the amenities its got it all. We had the junior suite which is a must with the whirlpool, antique double sink, raining shower head in the shower. We had a room with a partial view of the pier... the Mallory square view rooms would have been amazing $$$. The hotel is located on the busiest end of duval street which was key. The only thing that the hotel doesn't have is a nearby beach. Well worth the compromise though.

Customer Review
The Ocean Key had the best to offer for our first visit to Key West... it won't be our last! The location is perfect - close to everything - but don't expect to be close to the beach if that's what you're looking for. Great piers, pool, bars, food and accommodations.
