Our Review
This is like Club Med with the world's smallest beach.
That is not as negative as it sounds, all resorts
on this small island have small beaches, that is the
only the way it is.
The resort itself is excellent, if pricey. It is
a 120 room multistoried faux-Miami-style deco lodging
on some very prime real estate.
The balconies are well suited to watch the sunset,
and it seems as if the whole hotel has been aligned
for just that purpose.
Interior ponds hold koi and turtles, and the hotel
is meant for pedestrians to be cool and shaded as
they go about their vacations.
They Hyatt Key West sits one block from the gulf
end of Duval Street, and is set back among some palms.
It is three short blocks to Mallory Square, home
of the sunset festivities.
Customer Review
I hesitate talking about this hotel because we want
to save it for ourselves! We had a beautiful room
with a sitting area and two tvs. The bathroom is good
size with a double sink, a lighted magnifying mirror
and toiletries. The king size bed was comfy and had
a down blanket. The small balcony provides a lovely
view of the marina and boats. The location is terrific...
close to everything! We loved our stay here!

We did not find it quite as expressive as what we
expected (but maybe it's just the market on the island). The
room is so-so and does not even have an desk. Partial
gulf view means that we had to turn our necks to see
the ocean. There is a tiny little 'beach' next door
but don't expect anything much. Service was nice and
attendants were very friendly. It's probably at one
of the best locations in town, and we walked to the
center of night life just a few blocks away on Duval.
It was definitely nice to sit by the ocean. Overall,
it was nice, but don't expect to impress anybody.

Beautiful View, Best Breakfast, Great Location.

Beautiful corner room with balconies on 3 sides. Room
decor is fresh and relaxing. Great location when the
cruise ships are not docked and blocking your view
(may be dependent on which building you are in).

When we were there in July 2004 there was no DSL Internet
or even a Business Center. You have to lay on your
side in bed to see the TV. Location is good as it's
close to everything.
Customer Review
Compact facility w/uninspired decor. Tight & close
-- both guest rooms w/balconies and public spaces.
Small pool in center courtyard was dominated by families
with minor children during our stay. Overall, more
modest accommodations than we have experienced at
other Hyatt properties. Good location (within walking
distance of restaurants and other attractions). Upon
arrival we waited several minutes before the single
registration desk person appeared. Service okay but
no "delight the customer" atmosphere. Surrounded by
water, but don't expect sandy beaches.
