NOTE: HAMPTON INN KEY WEST
NO LONGER BOOKABLE THROUGH THIS SYSTEM.
The Hampton Inn Key West sits on one of the largest
open tracts of land for a hotel. While most other
hotels have built in such a way as to crowd the road
and have an open area in the back by the ocean, the
Hampton Inn Key West has opted for a broad front yard
and rooms close to the view.
That would explain why the main publicity shot is
from the water, the hotel itself lacks curb appeal.
But that is the worst thing that can be said about
this lodging. The Hampton Inn Key West has received
nothing but glowing reviews, and offers up clean,
standardized rooms that are comfortable and quiet.
Rates are reasonable, only a few dollars more than
the best budget hotel on the island (Days Inn).
The Hampton Inn Key West sits halfway between the
other chain hotels on the north side of the island,
and the lodgings in the historic district. It is a
little over a mile away from Duval St. This is not
far if you are renting a bicycle or scooter, but be
aware that the hotel sits on North Roosevelt, the
only road on Key West were the traffic approaches
highway speeds.
There are sidewalks, but you may want to rent a car
if you are staying here (link).
The Hampton Inn Key West is a safe place. You will
have a quality room in a good location. This is why
it is on our short 'recommended' list of Key West
lodgings.

We made our reservations based on the reviews we had
read. We were not disappointed. We received great service.
Our room was very nice. The continental breakfast was
one of the best in traveling for two weeks. We definitely
recommend staying here.

Stay frequently at Hampton Inns...and was not disappointed.
Facility was clean, had wireless internet, and the
breakfast was good. But the staff was superior. Tiki
Bar nice if you get tired & want to watch sunsets
quietly.

My fiancé and I took a trip to Key West after
winning a free stay at the Hampton through my job,
we had the best time there, renting bikes from the
on site vendor, just chatting with the locals and
free breakfast each morning. Hospitality in the Keys
doesn't get much better than this!

This hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very
helpful. Everyone seemed as if they were there to
please. There were 5 people working the complementary
breakfast buffet. Tiki bar was a nice touch... not
expected at a Hampton Inn.

This hotel is perfect for the family with their own
transportation. You stay in a clean, friendly environment
away from the downtown rush. Shuttle service can bring
you to attractions if you don't want to drive. It
is also close to chain stores for shopping and restaurants.

Stayed at this location for 3 of the most delightful
nights one could hope for. The staff could not have
been more helpful and assigned us a room "at the back"
overlooking the ocean. We would go back in an instant!
