Our Review
The Fairfield Inn Key West looked like your basic
hotel, with adequate amenities and little else. We
were not able to do more than do a quick inspection.
To be fair, this hotel has a place for the right
people. The 'Marriott' marquee ensures a standardized
level of performance and professionalism, and the
hotel is situated between those at the north end of
the island and party central on the south side.
The Fairfield hotel sits on both sides of Roosevelt
North, with the larger of the two units sitting ocean
side. You will check in on the island side.
Military guests take note that the Fairfield Inn
Key West sits right in between the Sigsbee Park Navy
Housing area and Fleming Key access, and would be
a great place to put families or other guests. Naval
housing, especially in a tight space like Key West,
is notorious for being small, and this hotel could
be a good and (relatively) inexpensive solution.
Other than that, the grounds were extremely well
maintained, and the exterior of the physical plant
was immaculate. This requires some doing in a tropical
climate. Staying here will put a roof over your head
and save some dollars too.
Customer Review
Clearly an economy hotel, but the Marriott name ensures
a level of sanity. Rooms were musty and furnishings
unattractive, but breakfast was decent and served
at the poolside bar. Staff was friendly and found
room to store our luggage, despite the cramped lobby.
Over a mile to Duval St., but we walked it.
