Our Review
If you agree with the following, this hotel is for you: Hotels all look the same in the dark, and they are just a place for you to put your stuff while you go out and explore. It should, however, be clean, close to food, and reasonably priced.

Welcome home!

We stayed at the Days Inn Key West our first two nights in February '05. We were in a room near the road on the first floor, and we could hear some traffic, but it was not invasive. Still, get a room in the back units if you can, and preferably on the second floor too. There is no beach view to be had, so don't worry about that.

The Days Inn Key West is a basic rate hotel, with a few amenities thrown in (washer/dryers available, heated pool, ATM, and on-premesis Waffle House). We found it to be clean and functional, and what you see is what you get. It is always booked, and as I checked in there was a steady stream of walk-ins asking for rooms, so book in advance.

This Days Inn is right where Route 1 hits Key West, and if you are driving down the islands, turn left at the light as you enter and you are there. It is convenient to the airport by taxi, and is as far from Duval Street as you can get and still be on the island.

It is across the street from the convention center, so you can attend whatever you need there and not pay the higher rates of the Holiday Inn that connects to it. It is also a good choice for people visiting the military base.

Note: The online brochure shows a couple pulling a conch shell out of the water, but believe me, there is no beach and this is nothing to do with the hotel. The beaches are about a half mile away, and the conch is a protected animal (disturbing it is against the law!).

Customer Review
This is a budget hotel, if you harbor resort-level expectations just because it is located in Key West, go elsewhere. If you believe that all hotels look the same in the dark, that they should be clean, near food, and reasonably priced... welcome home. There is nothing wrong with this hotel if you are looking for a simple base-camp place to stay and don't want to spend a fortune to do it..

Customer Review
Bedroom and Bathroom floors were dirty, bedding was stained, there was no ice in the ice machines, and soda machines were empty. I am extremely unhappy with the stay.

Customer Review
There is only one ice machine for the entire hotel.
